Venue: BallardWorks / 2856 NW Market St

Ballardworks is pleased to host an open house. The art on exhibit will showcase work created during the covid pause. Many of the artists will be in the print studio and many other studios in the building. If you know Ballardworks and love it, please stop by. The building is for sale, so we can't guarantee we will be here after 2021. Fully vaccinated people will be welcome to roam the halls freely, others will be wearing masks.
Abbie Birmingham is a printmaker and book artist whose pieces include multiple printmaking techniques. She's a member of the Columbia City Gallery and her work has been exhibited in juried shows and galleries locally, nationally and internationally. Her work is deeply place based and explores change over time in her home town of Seattle, drawing inspiration from street grids, maps and architectural structures. Abbie was very grateful to have continued access to the BallardWorks print studio during lockdown, as it seriously helped save her sanity. The pieces in this show were inspired by the Covid virus and are a departure from her prior work which, like so much of life, was disrupted by the world wide pandemic.
Ballard Night Out is presented by Push/Pull - supporting arts and cultural events in Ballard's 98107 & 98117 zip codes.
