In a twist on the traditional feminist interpretation of the “male gaze,” GALLERY 1/1 presents a new photography exhibition exploring how men see themselves and other men from behind the camera lens. The featured artists address themes of sexual desire, identity, self-reflection, masculinity, and the dynamics of power that are core critiques of the objectifying male gaze. As you know, we specialize in one-of-a-kind alternative and experimental photographic prints adding an exciting and unique challenge to creating this figurative photography show, The Male Gaze.
Give Big is May 9th and you can help keep Ballard Night Out going all year with your support. Our campaign goes to printing maps and posters, keeping this website up, and other administrative costs. If we can reach our goal we'll be able to add stipends to artists for use of their art on maps and posters! We're really excited about the possibility of giving back to that artists that make Ballard Night Out possible.
