Stop in to Ballard Night In on Thursday, April 29th 6pm to meet local artist D. Lisa West.
D. Lisa explores the intersection between meditation and art through her “Doodle Like an Artist” courses (and recent online guided meditations). D. Lisa teaches doodling classes out of her studio, inviting in the public to learn and understand her process. She shows work around the Seattle area and was a recent recipient of the 2020 Shunpike Storefronts project award, And that can be seen until June 2021 at the Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue.
Since the Covid came to Seattle, D.Lisa has been developing a large-scale series Covid Angels, in her home. Making art that is both socially engaged in this historical moment and reflective of beauty and spiritual growth has become extremely significant to D. Lisa during this time of global shift.

With the announcement of mandatory closures and limited groups, we have made the decision to press pause on Ballard Night Out for March. We will not be encouraging visits to venues and will instead be using this space to post about how you can support the artists and venues in Ballard. We hope that you will shop online, buy gift certificates and get take out when possible.
Ballard Night Out is presented by Push/Pull - supporting arts and cultural events in Ballard's 98107 & 98117 zip codes.
