We gave artists a wood panel. They turned it in with the background done and traded it for another artist's panel. We're showing you the result of these unplanned collaborations.

Join us on Thursday, December 21 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. for a special Ballard Night Out event at Ballard's Verity branch. Artist Mena Aklilu will have her work on display and MoNoise will be creating live art during the event. Plus, live music by cellist Marina Christopher. We hope to see you there!

Mena Aklilu was born in Ethiopia and moved to Seattle when she was nine years old. She started painting around age 15 as a hobby until she became a more serious artist in her early twenties.
MoNoise (Maurice Noisette) is a self-taught artist from Charleston, South Carolina. His work is a manifestation of personal accounts and experiences and his art has an urban feel rooted in illustration and hand-drawing.
