Ballard's smallest gallery, The Lavatory, welcomes the art of Amanda Franz. Opening August 17th and showing through September 19th.
From the artist:
Hello! I'm Amanda Franz and I'm an artist located in Seattle, Washington. I focused on drawing, printmaking, and art history while attending the University of Washington, but I've been drawing as long as I can remember. My practice is diverse and I love to use a variety of different materials in my artwork. I'm interested in the obscure and esoteric. I love to look into history, religion, mythology, and folk lore for my inspiration. I try to bring some of the excitement and grandeur of these stories into my art and every day experiences.
Ballard Night Out is presented by Greater Ballard Arts - supporting arts and cultural events in Ballard's 98107 & 98117 zip codes.
